1. Information We Collect

When you use Sheetara, we collect the files you upload (images and PDFs) solely to process your conversion request. We do not store your uploaded files after processing is complete.

We collect a browser fingerprint to enforce our free-tier usage limits (3 conversions per day). This identifier is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To convert your uploaded files into spreadsheets using Google Gemini AI
• To enforce daily usage limits and prevent abuse
• To improve the quality and accuracy of our service

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini AI — processes your uploaded files for data extraction
• Google AdSense — serves advertisements on the site
• AWS (S3 & DynamoDB) — temporary file storage and rate limiting

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

4. Data Retention

Uploaded files are temporarily stored in AWS S3 during processing and are automatically deleted shortly after your conversion is complete. Usage fingerprints are stored in AWS DynamoDB and reset on a daily basis.

5. Cookies

Sheetara does not use tracking cookies. Google AdSense may set cookies for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized ads via Google's Ad Settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Sheetara is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
